Their life-long beloved friend, Sabrina Watt, booked the band for their first paying gig at a Cystic Fibrosis charity event. Without an official name, she dubbed them "The Accidentals".  As years went by, "The Accidentals" formed a monthly happy hour every second Saturday at Sugar Creek Brewing Company on Southside Drive. Every second Saturday from 2:00 - 5:00 loyal fans came out to get transported from the mundane to the madness!

As "The Accidentals" got tighter and the grooves got deeper, the boys headed to FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama to record some original tunes.  There the history, the magic, and the famous water from the Tennessee River created a sound they are proud to call their own.  During the production process, it was discovered that another "The Accidentals" band existed and the boys were forced to change their name.  They looked to the 2 things that brought them to that point (Sabrina Watt and Southside Drive) and Southside Watt was born. The boys released the first album, 8 Track.

Sabrina's life ended far too soon, and she is deeply missed. Southside Watt will always remember her impact on this world, and a portion of the proceeds from our shows are donated to Cystic Fibrosis research in her honor.

In 2019, these fine gentlemen went back into the studio and recorded their latest LP, For Willie Waylon & Cash at Gat3 Studios with Glenn Tabor.  With four Grammy nominations and two wins, Glenn Tabor has always strived for excellence in everything he does and his contribution to this latest album is no different.

During the pandemic, the boys headed back to see Glenn Tabor at Gat3 Studios and released two singles. "Highway Living" and "Promises". They are currently working on the next round of originals and should be releasing more songs in 2021.
