Southside Watt is a dynamic band with roots in Charlotte, NC, blending a unique mix of rock, country, blues, and rap influences to create an exciting live music experience. The band recently performed at both the Lovin Life Music Festival and the Carolina Country Music Festival, continuing to build on their reputation as one of the region’s most innovative and crowd-pleasing acts.
Their sound is born out of years of performance, with origins going back to their early days as "The Accidentals," a name later changed in honor of their late friend, Sabrina Watt. They’ve recorded at the iconic FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, capturing the essence of the Tennessee River’s musical magic. Their original album 8 Track and the pandemic-era singles “Highway Living” and “Promises” showcase their evolving sound, combining deep grooves with a Southern flair.
Having been named Charlotte’s Best Up-and-Coming Band by Elevate Magazine in 2019, Southside Watt has solidified themselves as a must-see band in the Southeast music scene. Their live shows offer an unforgettable blend of raw energy and soulful storytelling, earning them a dedicated fan base.
